My research interests involve the photochemistry and photophysics of transition metal complexes. Research projects involve:

1. incorporating Pt(II) terpyridine complexes into "molecular wires"
2. synthesis and spectroscopic studies of hydrogen-bonding luminescent metal complexes
3. solar energy, the hydrogen economy and the end of the age of oil
